What do children with cancer want most? Apart from a cure, they long to just be a kid. On this episode of ‘WorldAbout with Grace Farah’, Grace sits down with Bernard Mauricia, Chief Executive Officer at Oncology and Kids (OAK), a San Diego based charity that provides free programs and services focused on increasing the emotional health of kids battling cancer, as well as providing support to the siblings and parents of diagnosed kids. OAK offers many different programs– including their flagship program Camp Reach for the Sky– to give families a break from the stress associated with having a loved one diagnosed with the disease and allow the kids to just be kids.
